Police investigating a ram-raid at a bank in Shirley on Monday evening (20 November) have launched a public appeal for information.
Staff were filling the ATM with cash when the vehicle rammed Halifax Bank, in Stratford Road, at around 5.15pm. Two containers loaded with cash were stolen. Luckily no one was injured.
The stolen vehicle – which was reversed through the front windows of the bank- was discovered a short time later in Clarence Grove.
Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward. They are also appealing for anyone with any video footage or pictures of the incident to send them in.
Images of the culprits have been released; although there is not much to go on it is clear one offender is much shorter in height and another is wearing distinctive Adidas trainers. If you think you know who they are please get in contact.
