Dog dies and man injured after hit and run in Hollywood

West Mercia Police is appealing for information regarding a collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle in Hollywood last Friday (12 May) evening.

The incident happened on the Alcester Road at around 6:04pm and involved a man in his 50s, who was walking his dog, and an unknown silver vehicle which did not stop.

The pedestrian received injuries to his foot and sadly his dog, who received serious injuries, has been put to sleep.

Investigations are ongoing, but police are keen to speak to anybody who may have witnesses the incident or who may have been in the area at the time. Should you have any information, please call 101 quoting incident 596S of 12 May.
