West Midlands Police is appealing for witnesses after a man was attacked and robbed in Kings Heath, just yards from the High Street.

Police received a 999 call just before midnight last Friday (12th May) reporting a man having been assaulted in Bank Street, Kings Heath, by two men and robbed of his wallet. The victim, a man in his late 40s, suffered a cut head and facial swelling.

It’s understood he was attacked by two men in their late teens or early 20s – one was white and around 5ft 10ins taller, the other was black and slightly taller. Both were wearing hooded tops.

Anyone who witnessed the attack, saw the attackers running off towards the High Street or has any information that could help the enquiry are urged to call the Investigation Team at Stechford police station on 101 quoting the crime reference number 20BE/98760V/17.
