Police release image of man they want to trace who may have been a victim of crime

Detectives have released an image of a man they want to trace, who they believe was the victim of a serious offence.

Officers hope that the photograph may try and help them identify the man who was involved in the incident around 6pm on Thursday 11 January in Edgbaston Road, Balsall Heath.

Four men were seen trying to force the man into a silver coloured hatchback, fortunately, they failed to get him into the vehicle and they drove off.

Passers-by went to his aid but he too ran off and has not been traced.

Pc Haydn Moore from Force CID said: “We have concerns for the safety of this man and need to speak to him urgently to see if he is safe and well. I would like to speak to anyone who may have seen this incident in Edgbaston Road involving this man and a silver car or anyone who can identify him to contact police at Stechford on 101.”
