Five Arrested After A Man Is Found In The Street With Serious Injuries

Police have arrested five people, one of them a school girl after a man was found with serious head and facial injuries in Brandwood.

An ambulance crew and police officers were called to Kenthorpe Road, just off Brandwood Park Road shortly after 7AM Thursday morning (01/01/15) after a man was found by a passer by slumped up against a car.

It’s believed the victim knocked at a door around 12:30AM and a fight began with the property’s occupants.

Although the victim’s injuries were not life threatening he suffered serious facial and head injuries and also a broken arm.

Amongst those arrested is a 15-year-old schoolgirl from Kings Heath; a 22-year-old from Marston Green; a 43-year-old local woman; a 19-year-old man, a student, from Bartley Green; and a 23-year-old man from Kings Heath all on suspicion of wounding.

A forensic’s tent and part of Kenthorpe Road has been sealed off while detectives carry out further investigations.
