Appeal for bus passengers to come forward after Kings Heath collision

Police are appealing for passengers to come forward after two buses collided in the Kings Heath area of Birmingham yesterday (29 August).

The single decker and double decker buses were involved in the collision in Addison Road just after 11am.

A number of passengers from the buses were treated for minor injuries at the scene and both drivers were taken to hospital for treatment and have since been released.

The road was closed for around four hours while both vehicles were recovered.

PC James Barry, from the Central Motorway Police Group, said: “We know that a number of passengers left the area before speaking to police and we’d ask them to come forward and contact us as soon as possible.

“We’ve launched an investigation into what happened and need to speak to anyone who was on either of the buses at the time of the collision yesterday or anyone who driving along Addison Road at the time of the collision.”

Anyone with information should contact PC Barry on 101.
