Three teenagers have been arrested following an early morning pursuit shortly after it’s suspected they car-jacked a woman.
Police were alerted to the robbery in Alexandra Road, Stirchley, at 11.10pm by the driver who reported being dragged out of her car and hit with a baton.
She was forced to hand over her keys and the attackers sped off in the Peugeot RCZ.
Details of the stolen car were circulated to patrol officers and at 1.20am it was picked up being driven in the Cotteridge area.

The driver failed to stop and it was pursued around the Kings Norton area before its tyres were punctured using a ‘stinger’ and it was forced over in Watford Road.
Two 17-year-olds were arrested from the car while another 17-year-old was found in Midland Road hiding in a garden. All three have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and are currently in police custody.
West Midlands Police Detective Inspector Jim Colclough, said: “The woman was set upon as she parked her car – understandably she was shaken-up but thankfully not seriously hurt.
“We had mobile patrols across Birmingham looking for the stolen car and two hours later one of our units spotted it and called in additional support as it was pursued.
“The stolen car was brought to a stop safely and all three quickly in police custody…a great result!”
