Council Crack Down On Flytipping In Druids Heath

Birmingham City Council’s Housing Department, Environmental Health and members of the Selly Oak District Office have been out in force on the Druids Heath estate this week cracking down on fly tippers in the area.

After carrying out bag searches across the estate a number of residents where identified after their addresses where found in the illegally dumped waste. All of these individuals will be receiving formal written warnings from the council and advice on how to correctly dispose of their Household Waste.

Dumped rubbish is not only unsightly it is also illegal and can lead to a fine of up to £2,500. It can also have serious consequences if you are a Council Tenant. Officers from the City Council have warned residents they will be taking a zero tolerance approach against repeat offenders in the area.
