CycleBirmingham – Spooky Halloween Ride

Important Update for this evenings ride –

Due to the forecast of heavy rain for later today we are changing the meeting point and time for the ride.

Meet at New St Station in the city centre (by the ticket desks)

It costs around £2 for a return ticket by train after 7pm in the West Midlands County. There is no need to advance book and bikes are carried free of charge.Train times: http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/We are meeting half an hour later to give people more time due to the changes and weather.Meet from 7:45pm Set off 8pm

It’s a good idea to bring/wear some waterproofs if you have them.

Alternatively you are welcome to meet us at the Red Lion in Warstone Lane http://theredlionbirmingham.com/ We should be there 8:30ish – Jewellery Quarter Station (on the Solihull/Shirley – Moor St – Stourbridge rail line) is very close to the Red Lion. The 101 bus runs from the city centre to Warstone Lane and the Inner Circle 8A/C also runs along Warstone Lane.

All the best and hopefully we’ll see you later 🙂

This ride is not suitable for those of a sensitive disposition as it will take an unorthodox route to the Red Lion in the Jewellery Quarter. After all it’s Halloween so we’ve got to make it spooky.

Dress appropriately given it’s the ‘31st’ 😉

The ride will finish at the destination where riders are welcome to join each other for a social drink and food. Riders are free to return home as soon as we arrive there. We normally team riders up with others who live in the same direction as them, as we all live in different directions. A number of the female riders often ride part way home together. We normally stay at the destination until around 10:15 – 11:15pm. We try and make it a fun and enjoyable evening for all.

The Jewellery Quarter station is very close by and the New St station in the city centre is not too far away either. Bikes are carried free of charge on local rail services, with no need to book in advance and it only costs £2 to most stations in the West Midlands County after 7pm.
