Drivers lucky to be alive after head-on collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after a head-on collision in Kings Heath on Saturday.

Emergency services were called to Hollybank Road in Kings Heath/Billesley shortly after 10pm on Saturday to reports of a head on collision involving multiple vehicles.

On arrival crews found as only what can be described as war zone with bits of car thrown in every direction.

Thankfully despite the massive amount of damage, only minor injuries were reported.

A spokesperson from West Midlands Police told B14 News: “We were called to Hollybank Road near to the junction of Ardencote Road, Kings Heath at around 10pm on Saturday 18 February following reports of a three car collision.”

“Officers attended and all drivers were spoken to and treated for minor injuries. The road was closed a short time while emergency services arranged recovery of the vehicles.”

“Enquiries into the cause of the collision continue and anyone with information that could help the investigation is urged to contact West Midlands Police on 101.”
