Investigating officers are appealing for witnesses to an attempted robbery in Wythall. It happened on Simms Lane around 8.45pm on Thursday December 29.
A man was at home when he heard a car alarm going off. It is understood the front windscreen of a car had been smashed.
On approaching the window, he saw a man wearing a dark balaclava reportedly demanding the keys to the car.
The victim and his partner refused to give the man the keys and called police.
The man is believed to have then walked down the driveway and got into a dark coloured vehicle, which is thought to have driven off towards Alcester Road.
Officers are keen for anyone who saw the incident, who witnessed anyone acting suspiciously or who was in the area at the time to come forward.
