A motorcyclist who died in Maypole on Tuesday (19 July) has been named as Darren Guy.
The 37-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision in Glenavon Road around 8.15pm, after reports that his bike struck a curb. His 14-year-old passenger is recovering well in hospital.
PC Jason Stacey, from the force’s Collision Investigation Unit, continues to appeal for witnesses. He said: “This is a built up residential area and we are appealing to local residents and passing motorists who saw what happened to contact us.
“Specialist officers are supporting the family at this time and investigations are continuing to establish the circumstances that led to the crash.”
