Police appeal for public’s help after a woman is raped on Lower Bull Street

Police appealing for the public’s help after a woman was raped in Lower Bull Street in the city centre in the early hours of Tuesday (6 November).

A 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged with rape and appeared at Birmingham Magistrates Court the following day, where he was remanded in custody.

But today officers are appealing for anyone who may have seen what happened, in particular this cyclist, to get in touch.

The attack happened at around 4.15am-4.30am.

There were people around that morning, including a man in high visibility clothing who was riding a bike down lower Bull St towards Corporation Street at the time.

Police urge this man to come forward as they think he may be able to provide them with information that could help with inquiries.
