Behind the scenes at Stirchley Baths for Birmingham Heritage Week

This Sunday 11th September, Stirchley Baths opens its doors to people from across the city as part of this year’s Heritage Open Days and Birmingham Heritage Week.

It will also lift the hatches into the basement for the first time so visitors can explore the tunnels and go into the deep end of the pool, which is now boarded over.

Officially re-opened earlier this year the award-winning restoration project is once again at the heart of the community 28 years after is closed to the public.

Although no longer a swimming baths the ‘Splash Back in Time’ heritage open day will be a chance to show off the amazing community centre, above and below ground.
