Police release CCTV footage after two men stabbed at Selly Oak nightclub

Detectives have released CCTV images after two men were stabbed at a nightclub in Selly Oak in the early hours of last Saturday morning (August 22).

Officers were called to Urban Village in Bristol Road at around 12.50am and on arrival found the two men, aged 22 and 23, with knife injuries in the beer garden.

Enquiries suggest that one of the men had a dispute with another man earlier in the evening – he then returned to the nightclub with a friend and carried out the attack.

The pair were both taken to hospital for treatment. The 22-year-old is in a stable condition and the 23-year-old was treated and released.

Detective Sergeant Martin Richardson, from Force CID, said: “We know the club was busy that night and a number of people would have seen the suspects during the evening.

“If you were there and have any information about what happened, please come forward and contact us.

“I also want to appeal directly to the suspects to do the right thing and hand themselves in.”

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
