Urgent appeal for information following an attack on a vulnerable woman

Police urgently appealing for any information following a nasty attack on a vulnerable woman in her 60s yesterday (13/03).

The woman, who suffered a stroke at the weekend, and walks with the aid of a frame, was approached by a man on Kingsfield Road, King Heath at around 10.40pm.

He asked her for the time, but when she said she was unable to help, the man took her bag containing money, phone, jewellery and house keys. She was pushed to the floor and he ran away. The woman suffered injuries to her knee, elbow and hip.

The suspect is described as white, aged between 16 and 20-years, and around 5ft tall. He has short dark hair and was clean shaven, wearing dark clothing.

The investigation is ongoing and officers are currently examining CCTV footage in the area.
