Lord Mayor’s Show returns to Cannon Hill Park

The Lord Mayor’s Show returns to Cannon Hill Park this Sunday 11 June from 11am until 4pm, with a free, fun-packed, family friendly event celebrating sport, health and wellbeing.

The annual event, which raises money for the Lord Mayor’s charities, welcomes the new Lord Mayor Cllr Anne Underwood.

From Tennis workshops for the kids, freestyle football show for the footie fans and even Prosecco bar for the adults, there is something for everyone.

  • Opportunities to try Rugby and Netball with the WASPS Rugby Club in association with the Rugby Football Union (RFU)
  • Tennis workshops from Edgbaston Priory Tennis Club
  • Zumba, badminton, tai chi and bike ride workshops from Active Parks
  • Capoeira demonstrations and workshops
  • Ben Nuttall’s freestyle football show with free workshops
  • British Athletics activities including a race track for budding Usain Bolts to test their speed
  • Martial arts demonstrations from Kash the Flash
  • Sport taster sessions from Sport Birmingham
  • Prosecco bar care of Free Radio
  • Outdoor games
  • Free craft workshops
  • Polly’s Play buses
  • Greenspaces Leisure Park, Golf Pitch and Putt, inflatable slides and the park’s Land Train will be open to visitors.
  • Plus stalls from local traders, local street food stalls and a bar
  • Performances from The Birmingham Irish Pipes and Drums
  • And the Armed Forces will be represented by the Royal Navy HMS Forward, The Royal Marines, and the 37th Signals and 48 Squadron Regiments with activities and recruitment stalls, plus the West Midlands Fire Service will bring their Fire Tender to the event.
