Sergeant Alan Hands, from our serious collision investigation unit, said: “If anyone was on Linden Road earlier this morning and saw what happened I’d urge them to get in touch.

“We believe the woman was heading from the park in the direction of the Bristol Road, so I’m keen for anyone who was in and around the area, either out for essential shopping, or taking their daily exercise to contact me.

“Any vehicles travelling along the road with any dash cam footage would also be helpful.”
