Police have renewed their appeal for information to help trace Ali Durrani, who has been missing for more than six months.
Mr Durrani, 32, was last seen on 6 February around Middlemore Road and West Heath Road in Northfield, a day after leaving his home in Selly Oak and failing to return.
Earlier this week, officers issued a fresh appeal alongside Mr Durrani’s parents, urging the public to come forward with “any information, no matter how small”.
As part of that appeal, police released an image of a woman walking a dog, captured in the last CCTV sighting of Mr Durrani. She has since been identified and spoken to by officers.
Mr Durrani is described as being of medium build, with black hair and a black beard. He was last seen wearing a khaki raincoat, black jeans and brown lace-up shoes.
Detectives have also renewed their appeal for information about his phone – a light-coloured iPhone 12 – believed to have been in the area around the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
Police say the phone “could be vital” to the investigation and are urging anyone who may have seen it or has it in their possession to hand it in.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police via Live Chat on the West Midlands Police website, or by calling 101 and quoting PID number 452099.
